Dear Friends,
As I sit at my desk in the office on this hot, sunny day, a smile comes to my face as I begin to reflect on my catering journey. For I am truly blessed and in awe of all the great experiences and people I have had the pleasure to meet and work with throughout the years. I know it’s a cliché, however, allow me to say it “where does the time go” for this summer marks our nineteenth year in business and 7 years in our Canonsburg store at 151 East Pike Street. I am leaving the pic of our ribbon cutting for the new location, for it is the mark of growth and memories for me, perhaps someday I will change it! Lol
At the time of our moving into the store, we were launching dinners to go! We are now on our seventh year of dinners to go and decided to run it through some summer months due to all the positive response. The concept of dinners to go is one in which warms my heart for it is a way for families to gather around the table after their day and share, singles who are tired and do not want to cook for one to have a good meal, elderly that are unable to cook for themselves to have nourishment and my husband to have dinner since his wife does not cook at home! (True story).
Things are different now in the business and in the world. Covid made a difference in all our lives. The struggle for all business owners today is finding employees which makes it difficult at times, pricing has skyrocketed on food, employees working from home as well this year, so we all continue forward and make the best of it all. Above all this I know God is faithful, and I praise Him for allowing me to survive through this time. One of my favorite verses is “We Walk by faith not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7. My prayer is we come back stronger and better.
Throughout the years, our business has been built on referrals, and we want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for not only choosing us as their “caterer of choice” but sharing our name with their friends and family. We thank our seasoned clients as well as our new clients, for we know our business has been and will be blessed by all of you. You are why we continue to grow! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
